  1. For those who wants to setup your VM to use imessages and Facetime. Here is a workaround and its confirmed to be working on Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra

    Firstly, Shutdown VMware OS X

    Secondly, delete board-id.reflectHost = "True" from vmx file (Open using notepad or notepad++)

    Thirdly, copy and paste this into the blank space below the file

    board-id.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    board-id = "Mac-8ED6AF5B48C039E1"
    hw.model.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    hw.model = "MacBookPro6,2"
    serialNumber.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    serialNumber = "W88460PP1AX"
    smbios.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    efi.nvram.var.ROM.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    efi.nvram.var.MLB.reflectHost = "FALSE"
    efi.nvram.var.ROM = "3c0754a2f9be"
    efi.nvram.var.MLB = "C0720270FQVDKP2AT"

    Lastly, login to imessage or Facetime and enjoy!

    To use Facetime, make sure webcam is enabled on VM -> Removable Devices -> Webcam

    Hope it helps! 🙂

  2. I HAVE INTEL VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGY ON IN BIOS!!!!!!!!!! <— but it says "This host does not support 'Intel EPT' hardware assisted MMU virtulization. This host does not support virtulizing real mode. The Intel 'VMX Unrestricted Guest" feature is necessary to run this virtual machine on and Intel processor. Module 'CPUIDEarly' power on failed. Failed to start the virtual machine."

  3. I suspected this would be possible, technically, since the reverse is plenty supported, running Windows under MacOSX. What I don't understand is why Apple would balk at the idea that their OS is ran under Windows when nobody at Microsoft balks or complains that their OS is ran under MaxOSX? VMware should actually fully support this. But THANKS a million for demonstrating the capability. I'll certainly give it a spin at some point.

  4. Hi, Thanks for the video..I increase the disk size on vmware setting, now how can i increase from mac os, I went to disk utility and increased the size but it did not take effect. What can i do in this case?

  5. I've got a problem is gives me the karnel panic or something and I see that I need to go to option to change my version to OSX 10.7 but I dont have that version there. What other version can I use to let it work. I have:
    eComStation 2
    FreeBSD 64-bit
    and at last Other 64-bit
    Which one can also work plzz let me know

  6. Ok, the video does NOT match what is in the file downloaded. In the video, you opened a Virtual machine, But the file is a virtual DISK, which cannot be mounted using the method you showed on the video. Either you skipped a step, or the wrong file was in the zip file.

  7. I'm getting a bunch of white text after the apple logo loading screen (I think the white text is the kernal panics that everyone is talking about), but I tried changing my options to OSX 10.7, but the only option I have is OSX 10.12. I can get past this white text after 5+ times of retrying the loading screen, but it's really annoying. How do I fix this?

  8. Whenever I turn on my mac i get a kernel panic… Apparently from the comment section the fix is to change the version of the vm to OS X 10.7 But i go into my options all i see is only 10.12 version. Please what should i do?

  9. This is great, thank you.
    Only problem I'm having is that my keyboard and mouse do not work.
    Has anyone else had this issue?

    It works in every other OS I have virtualized, except for this one.
